Ford focus

Are the Ford focus okay cars. May look at one today. I do not know model engine or anything at this time. Any problems etc. Thanks

Looking at consumer reports, get at least an 05 or newer based on reliability.

They are very good cars. My grandmother had a 01 and had no problems with it. she just bought a 09 and she loves it.

we dont get them into the shop for anything other than normal time/mileage related failures (a timing belt here and there...a few fuel pumps...that kind of thing).

theres a mail carrier here that has an older 2.0 focus with over 300K on it....it has been beat to hell but still seems to run alright.

My buddy's is about to roll over the 60k mark, I just did its first trans service (Supposed to be done every 30k) he said so far he's just had to put new spark plug wires, new brakes and new tires on it.

Focus's are pretty awesome, their reliability is along the same lines as the escort and the probe. My probe lasted 9 yrs I beat the hell out of it for 3 yrs gave it to my brother for 5 yrs, and I ran it for another year when I got it back. Lotsa mileage and When it finally went it was a beautiful show. Parts and sparks everywhere as the piston found the most direct path through theside of the block and cleared the undercarriage at 60 mph. That...was interesting.

The z tech motors are really good motors, ive herd many good thaings about them. Im currently looking at an SVT focus
