Ford eSourceBook 2019 Ranger Preview

We're still a few months from seeing these on the road. As we get closer, I'm sure more info will come out. Last I checked they aren't even in FCA yet.

I know, like the better part of a year until they are in the wild. I want the “build your truck” thing like yesterday though.

"off-road productivity screen" :dunno:

Kinda cool in the F-150’s. Inclinometer side to side and stem to stern, little graphics for what 4wd mode you are in and how far your wheels are turned. Gimicky... but neat gimicky. :icon_thumby:

The little image in the esourcebook shows a release in february of 19, but the scuttlebutt at work is this fall. Completely 100% unsubstantiated, but that's the word on the street.

I'll say this too, Ford leaks info like crazy. By the time I get the official story on frontline or esourcebook, or any other offical channel, the news is usually a month or two old.

I wonder if there will be a way to completely turn off the traction and stability control ?

I could do it on my ex's 2011 Charger MOPAR edition. Press the traction control button once, press and hold for 7 seconds until the TC icon on the dash flashes....then it was completely off. I could have done donuts, but didn't....but I did do one helluva burnout :-D Wouldn't have wanted to explain how I crunched her baby...

So far they are saying the plant will be retooling until late october. Plant employees are going to be laid off until around the 22nd iirc. They will have to get production dialed in and production rolling... late 2018 to early 2019 sounds about right to me.

Has there been any new info posted? Or do we really gotta wait until August for more? I'm getting antsy

an employee of the Michigan Assembly plant told me the plant is being re-tooled now. she expects to be called back briefly in August, then permanently in November. that's when full time production begins.

Thankfully I already knew this stuff. I work at a supplier so I've know production start times for quite a while. Was hoping there would be some information about the truck itself released internally though. Thanks though

There has been a lot of info released about the new Ranger.
