Ford Escapes?

I drove a few, none stick. Bought an 08 Rav 2wd 4cyl.

My folks have a 2006 Escape. They love it, it's terrific in the SW PA snow. V6 Auto tho'.

Oh, my sister has the Tribute, loaded. Even nicer, newer.

My brother is a Ford mechanic, he loves them... and not for the reason mechanics usually love vehicles.

He says they rarely give problems and are pretty easy to work on. I played around with one at a carshow and they do feel really nice inside as well.

They did have some goofy TSB about wind noise on the newer ones, he was laughing at the fix though which is to trim a small amount of material from the grille to get a better seal.

ahh, a RAV 4 huh? They don't come with a manual tho...?
Me mum's got an '01/02 Escape V6 4w/AWD, w/auto, she likes it okay, no problems.

i woud not mind havin an escape...they dont seam to bad....some one told a wile back that they had one one with 31s!!!!i think it was on here....just wonder what it would take to do an SAS...haha

My fiancee's mom has one. It's been a good car and she really likes it. Just from riding in it, I can say they feel solid. My only complaint would be road noise. A friend of mine also has one and it's been great for her as well.

My mom has an '02 with the V6 auto 4x4, currently has close to 90k on it. She had the ball joints replaced a while back, and apparently it needs it done again for some reason, along with a cracked ABS tone ring on the passenger side, and they say it needs a new axle but I can't figure out why.

Anywho it hasn't been a bad car really. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest one to someone.

Wait, I think I see a trend here: it's a girls car! Ha,ha, no but seriously, for the money, they look like a pretty good deal. Got a few more fancy options compared to the Ranger.

My boss had a 02 Escape V6 AWD automatic. A solid reliable car, and it had quite a nice yellow paint job to it. Very easy to work on as well. I like them.
