Ford 2.3 Cam

Do you have to change the valves, springs ect to use this cam??

Whats the difference in HP, Torque, Gas mileage, does it throw a code with the ECU??

thanks

It was installed as part of a complete rebuild. The springs are nothing exotic. Believe the hydraulic lifters came from CompCams as well. I did not go to larger valves with this head, just a 3-angle valve job and some port work. .020 off the head and .010 off the block. I have the TK5 manual and 3.73's in the rear end.

No real difference in gas mileage I've noticed. No idea about codes since my truck only has a carb, distributor, and ignition box. Doing it again I might go to the .440 lift 'Magnum' cam but the one I've got is a good bit better than stock.

o okay, What kind or size cam can i install in my 2.3 without it messing with the valves ect and so it doesn't throw a code??

Is that roller or a flat slider?

The CompCams piece I am running is a regular slider cam, not a roller. Roller is more $$$ than I had available when I had the motor built.
