Afriend of mine posted this on another forum with in regards to this very same topic.

The analysts are speculating that this is the bubble bursting. An hour ago, oil was making a slight gain. As of 2 seconds ago, it's down another $.59 :applaud:

The solution is simple: people should not be able to invest in oil. period. Or food. They are one and the same. I think it is the United States turn to rake in the dough. See how all those fucks like seeing ridiculous food prices. Let's find out what is more important shall we; oil or food. After all, my pickup doesn't die if I can't afford to fill it up with gas!

Funny... Oil prices have fallen $15 a barrel...yet prices at the pump... not budged. The record high, last week had oil at $147 a barrel. Gas in my area was $4.09.

How much you want to bet, it the price would rise back up to that $147 a barrel, the prices at the pump would get close to $4.50.....even though a week earlier they were making a profit at $4.09.

That shit right there is what pisses me off. If an arab farts the price goes up. Nothing makes it come back down.

The price for oil today is for delivery in a month or more. Prices won't move until then. You can raise immediately however as that is how the commodities market works.

Comforting isn't it to watch our high paid detached government officials bicker like children about oil solutions all while we are in an energy crisis, Credit crises, and real estate down turn. In other words we're heading for another great depression because our 2 party government is to stupid to compromise on what they want.

Listen up you stupid government bastards! Release half the oil from the reserve and allow half as many new oil drilling sights. Jesus it just isn't that F'n hard to figure out!
