Fog Light Suggestions?

I asked around at couple places about getting suitable fog lights. So far a 5" Hella LED round seemed to be the best
suggestion. Will have to run a toggle to the dash anyway, but the mounting points to the bumper was the issue.

Somebody suggested a wrecking yard to find stock light (nothing to be found) that way stock housing is used (even if my mine would have it, which I have no clue).

Anybody have upgraded or had to swap out their own? Ideally I'd like to fill this location up, otherwise a small push bar mounted lights?

I actually have the fog lamps and brackets that came off my 06. I even have the connectors. I know one lens is cracked but the light still illuminated.

If you can determine that the 06 brackets will fit your 11... we can work something out. But from what I'm seeing... they are a bit different and they have different part numbers.

I have brackets and everything from a 2000 Eddie Bauer Exploder. You can have them for the cost of shipping if you think you could use them.

Thanks for the offers guys, but I found a local who is parting a 2006 Ranger Sport out. I'll start there as far as stock goes. But good point if it will fit / mount properly on a non fog light bumper. Could need those extra bits and pieces to make it happen. My just go a light bar under the licence plate as well. I'll keep researching the best and easiest option.

The non fog light bumper is the same as the fog light bumper. Those round "plugs" get removed and the factory fog lights "bolt" in. (They aren't really bolts they are crappy plastic stems with a special nut that cuts into them) I did it to my 2009. There is no wiring there but as for mounting its a direct fit for the oem lights. I wired mine with just a relay run off the running lights so I can have fog only with running lights or fog and headlights. No on/off switch.

Those lights NEED an ON/OFF switch...

Without a switch you have no way to provide oncoming traffic relief from lights that perhaps are blinding them. It makes the roadway unsafe for others as well as yourself. It does no good if you can see better if you blind others driving at you at cruising speeds.

The Factory system has a switch for that exact reason... use your best judgement and safety as a consideration when wiring up your new fog lights.

On my '01 Ranger Edge, the Fog lights automatically go off when High beams are activated. I would imagine all stock fog lights are like that. I would try to replicate that function, for safety.

Amber led pods. Angle them downward to avoid blinding oncoming traffic as much, the amber light cuts through the fog nicely in the mountains out here, and being amber it’s still technically road-legal

In fact... I've been searching for a set of DOT approved amber fog lights... round ones... I can't find them in say a 3 inch round light.

The fog lights are low and aimed down at the ground. They have no effect on oncoming traffic.

I had a pair of amber pods as DRL’s on my Power Wagon and never got bothered in any of the states it was driven through, only issue I’ve run into in California were the white LED lights being uncovered when on the street. Even SoCal cops don’t say anything about the amber lights, as long as it’s actually amber and not greenish-yellow like some brands, and these are the same cops who are sticklers about having mud flaps, fender flares, no front tint, etc.
If you really want something DOT-approved, Baja Designs makes LED lights just for that. I’m running OZ-USA led pods in white and amber on my B2, and ran a similar setup on the PW, just because they’re more affordable but still decent quality, and it’s a local business. They should fit nicely in the Ranger factory bumper where the stock fogs are meant to sit, possibly with a little plastic trimming
