Does color matter for fog lights?
I know everyone like the blue colors ones, but I want them to work.
Once in a while i get some thick fog were you can see much of the road and I want to be about to see

i've always perferred the ones with yellow lenses or bulbs. for me, they seem to pierce the fog better. too bad the yellow ones are getting harder to find these days.

The quality of the beam is more important than the colour. A good flat topped beam with as little stray light as possible is what to look for.

Yellow cuts through fog. It's what I run in the winter in my fogs. But during the summer, I run the bright white/slight tint of blue in the fogs. Anything that doesn't have a yellow hue sucks at cutting through fog.

Thanks for the input, know I have to find a nice set and figure out how to mount them.

Amber would be my first choice as well for a true fog light.

But as he said they are harder to find.

Is there a Yellow cover that can be added to a 6" Fog Light ?

That would make things a lot easier !

I beleve the product is called "Laminix"? It's a glass/lense protective film, alot like tint but thick, alot like a clearbra. You can get it clear, tinted blue, or tinted yellow.

TaggyTagz has it on his fog lenses I believe.

something I'd add....people call auxilary lights(like KC hilites or Hella 500's) fog lights. Also the lights in the lower side of the bumper are also called foglights(like on 98-current ranger valences). Piaa makes aux lights that illuminate yellow and they are bad ass...but expensive. KC does as well I believe. You'd also be able to find yellow bulbs themselves as well(for aux lights or factory fog light housings).

if you had clear lens with a yellow bulb like the ones PIAA have. is that just as good?

Thanks for the info.
I am going to save some money and get some Hella's or piaa fog lights, and get there yellowish bulbs.
