FM145 Shifter

I have a 1987 Ranger Supercab STX 2.9L V6 EFI during christmas i swapped out the stock A4LD 4speed automatic it had for a 5speed FM145 i got from a parts truck. but i have a real problem now. the shifter has a lot of play in it and the plastic ball on the end keeps coming off which makes it a pain shifting. hurst doesnt list the FM145 anymore. Does anyone know were i can get a new shifter for this transmission? thanks
