FM145 Compatability

I have a Mitsubishi Pickup with the 2.3 turbo diesel and I want to mate an Altas transfercase to the pickup. I want to know if there are any differences in the FM145 bellhousings and input shaft. Did the 2.3 mitsubishi diesel use the same bellhousing and input shaft as the 2.8 and 2.9 liter engines.

I know an FM145 from a 2.3 diesel ranger will bolt up but it would make life easier if I didn't have to hunt down one of those trannys. Basically, I am hoping they are all the same.

So, rumor has it, the 2.3 gas pickups have same input shaft and flywheel as the 2.3 turbo diesel. They just have a different bellhousing. Can anyone confirm this?
