does any body know what the service limits are for a 96 supercab 3.0 manual trans flywheel. i looked on the flywheel and there are no such runout specs. the vernier caliper read 1.265 . i also compared to a flywheel to a 2 wheel drive 3.0 flywheel that was craked, and that measured at 1.272. i bought this truck from a guy that told me his mechanic said it needed a rear main seal ,in which case was causing the clutch to slip. my buddy and i pulled the trans to find a brand new clutch with absolutely no wear what so ever on the disc----the pressure plate is the OE self adjusting type, and the fingers all look pretty damn close to being even but to the naked eye they seem just a little off. the flywheel itself looks blued and glazed with no cracking. the clutch didnt slip until 3rd and 4th gear about half pedal. im hoping the flywheel is wore out and ist within specification. i ordered a new flywheel-conventional diaphram design type clutch kit. the real main seal is dry,the clutch disc is dry ,but the blue rubber oil pan gasket is bulging out and leaking from everywhere profusly.
