Flush or refill 97 ranger AOD

Please help. Cant figure out whether to refill or flush. Cant do it myself and am not sure how much to pay or where quality service is. Thanks

An in-line flush is the best option. It gets the most old fluid out, and it uses the trans pump to do it.

I would go around to service shops and ask what kind of equipment they use. IME the BG machine is the best out there.

I think our trans service is going for about $179 right now. That's 12 quarts of fluid, the flush kit, and an hour labor at $79/hour.
