I Was Wondering If Anyone Knows The Exact Location Where The Fluid Plug Is For The Transfer Case. I Would Just Like To Know What My Level Is In There. I Heard It Has To Be Full All The Time. I'm Also Wondering What Color The Fluid Is For The Transfer Case, Cause I Just Sprung A Leak In The Back Of The Truck In Between The Rear Tires. Some Sort Of Mystery Fluid. Any Thoughts?

on the back of the transfer case. The drain plug and the fill plug look the same. They're made so you can put a 3/8" ratchet in them. Regular old Transmission fluid is used in the ranger transfer cases, so it would be red if it were clean, but tranny fluid that hasn't been changed in years usually just turns brown or black like everything else.

If you've got a leak between your rear tires its not gonna be the transfer case thats leaking, its gonna be your rearend. That could be either the pinion seal or the differential cover.
