Fluid on the knee

Does anyone know anything about fluid or air pockets on top of your knee?
I just noticed this today.

I got something either fluid or an air pocket on my right knee. Can anyone tell me if I should be worried or not.
I'm 3 months out from my next doctor's appointment.

Should I call and get an appointment for just my knee to be looked at?

Could be bursitis. If it starts getting itchy and burning, go see a Dr. I have had limited success using emu oil (Blu Emu) in the early stages of bursitis. And got rid of it myself. I have also had to go to the Dr about it once or twice.

In your knees, elbows and several other joints are little pillows of fluid to cushion the joint. Sometimes we aggravate them and they get swolen with extra fluid. In some cases, they get infected. That's when the Dr is absolutely necessary.

I once got bursitis on my elbow just from it banging on a hard armrest on my truck door during several long days of driving. I also got it in my knees once from kneeling on a hard floor too much over several days. I'm an electrician and had been installing a lot of receptacles.

Hope this is helpful. If it gets to burning and itching real bad, go to Dr.

So the Fluid or what ever it is on my knee is still there.
It does not seem to be any more then there was yesterday.
However it does not seem to be less either.
I don't have any pain or anything like that.

had a knee issue last week that was similar.....but not fluid on top, pulled on the bottom and couldnt walk without holding my leg from the pain...wobbled into the drug store and got a brace and as soon as i put it on i could walk...some pain but not horrible..... second day i was doing ok.

had fluid on my right knee about 30-35 years ago. fell off a bike one day and noticed a big bubble the next day.
didn't hurt, I probably went to a doctor who told me to leave it alone unless it hurt.
poked and prodded it, even jabbed it with no effect.
a year or 2 later I was on my knees painting a fence and after a couple hours I noticed it was gone.

As I said I don't have any pain. I really don't know what it is.

I noticed it yesterday while I was sitting in the passenger seat of my brother's truck going to work on one of another guy's trucks.
My brother has so much stuff in his work truck that I my feet sitting on top of some stuff and my knees were bent more than that it usually are when I'm sitting.
My takes his dog pretty much everywhere with him and at one point she tried to set on my lap.
I put my hand on my knee that's when I noticed the bubble, fluid, air whatever it is.

I also agree getting older is an adventure.
It sure does hurt at times.

I'm telling you... apply this several times a day and in a few days, everything back to normal. If not, it will be burning and itching and you'll need antibiotics from a Dr. The longer you wait, the more likely you'll be going to the Dr.

I used to get it at the drug store. Haven't bought any recently. Google search shows it at CVS, Wal-Mart, Target, Amazon and more.
