I recently purchased a 1986 Ford Bronco II -- 5 speed 4x4 (with the help from you guys) . I am going to change out the fluids in the transmission, diffs and transfer case and wanted some opinions.

Here is what I have picked out:

Transfer Case- Royal Purple Sychromax (per RP they recommend it for 4x4 transfer cases, anyone use it? Otherwise I will just use RP Synthetic ATF).

Transmission- (fm145 or 146) - Redline MTL or MT90. Can't seem to decided which is best. I used MT90 in my 93 Jeep YJ and it made shifting into second much better when cold.

Diffs- Royal Purple 75w-90

I know this this is kinda like asking what is the best engine oil but I thought I would give it a try. I am interested to hear if anyone has tried the Sychromax in the transfer case.

Thanks,

-Nick

I'd just put 80-90 in both diffs and the transmission.

I use Mobil 1 full syn 75/90W in the tranny and diff and had no problems running for five years.
