Has anyone tried a Flowmaster 40 on a 4.0 v6? I want a new exhaust, so i am open to many ideas you may have, but so far i am liking the idea of a single-out like stock, with a nice tip and a flowmaster 40, which i hear are pretty good

Ya a lot of people run flowmaster 40s. Personally i like the sound of my gibson muffler over flowmasters.

ive seen a few of those for sale, but idk alot about them, or alot of people that use them.

Like your idea . . .

Of single outlet with a nice tip; I also like my Gibson - nice rumble, but not raucous. If possible, listen to a truck with an exhaust like the one you plan on using. Flowmasters sound great on V-8 Mustangs, but haven't heard a Ranger V-6 with one. Anybody . . .?

I have a Flowmaster Delta 40 in my v6 Stange and it sounds great i think.

Hey, Elemonator . . .

How ya comin' on your exhaust? Inquiring minds want to know . . . :dunno:

love the flowmaster 40 on my 4.0. good sound and not obnoxiously loud.

Meh??

I just picked one up and got it installed on my '98... nothing... No good sound what so ever, you need to listen really close for a little tiiiiiinnny rumble..... I would look into it a little more first.

All the best,

Hooper

you must of missed the top of this sub-forum that said "exhaust reviews" "no posting questons" lol. try the exhaust section.

i just had a flowmaster 40 two chamber installed on my 1991. not loud at all. not what i was hoping. i should have gotten the one chamber. A buddy told me that it should "break in." i should have had the cat before the muffler removed since i do not have to have a inspection here in Mo. i did have a 90 degree exhaust pipe welded and now it comes out the side, in front of the rear tire like my Lightning
