float setting

i am looking for carb settings for an old (f2, i think) ford 2 bbl
carb, no. C40F-L list no. 3KE. on an 83 2.8, but came from
a 64 comet 260. the numbers from the kit are totally wrong.

also, how do you turn off the typing "help" in vista so you
can read what you type?

Simple...get rid of vista.

As for the settings for the float, the rebuild kit or a manual to the vehicle that the carb came off of should tell you.

it doesn't appear to be a 2100, i think it is older.
the settings in the kit were totally wrong. it wouldn't even run.
i changed it back as close as i could to the original setting and
it is better, but not right.

well, it looks like it is an early 2100. the wet float setting is 7/8 ", and it seems to run fine there.
