Hey guys what would i gain from flipping my rear leaf hangers and shackles? LIFT? LOWER? BETTER RIDE?

flipping? (just gonna ask here sto save the trouble).

Don't do it unless you already have springs to throw on & longer shackles. It will lower it alot & will screw up you're pinion angle & cause major problems

youll gain better flex with the flip and longer shackles. however unless you put some kind of lift springs or blocks under the springs it will drop your ride height.

ok, thanks guys... but how much drop are we talkin... i would like to drop the rear an inch to make the truck level....i have a leveling kit 3" bl, and stacked washers under the coils and i'm 1/2-3/4 inch difference front to back... i could still fit my 33's with the back some lower!

when you flip the hanger like your talking about, it will also require moving your rear hanger back just a bit. the shackle will need to be angled forward, not back like it was from factory.

your shackle angle needs to be about ninty degrees from the main leaf of the leaf spring pack.

expect it to drop more like 4+ inches, depending on what you have for shackles.

HOLY F*#%...ok well that aint happenin, you think i could accomplish what i want some how?

Yeah, its called a 63 swap....get some stock IFS chevy leaf springs (89-98), 6400 shackles, and some hardware...flip your hangers out back, relocate your front hanger 6 inches forward, mount up the new springs, and you'll stay around the same height, but gain ungodly amounts of flex:icon_thumby:
