Flip kit+ Flipped Shackles= 6-7" Drop
Flipped Shackles only= 2"

I hope that kind of clears some stuff up

True - when I did my axle flip I had the shackles flipped - too low for me so I flipped the shackles back to stock.

wouldn't the dual flip use up nearly all the up/down travel at the axle (for future reference)

Yes - I was sitting ON the bump stops when dropped that way. I would have needed to remove bumps and add a bolt/weld in c-notch to get anymore travel.

i have a notch i am gonna put in...so i should be good there.....HAZMAT why was it 2 low for you?? low as of hitting bumpstops?.....

so the flipped shackles an axle will get me to 6'' or 7'' then?? cause thats wat im lookin for...as low as poss wit no air...thaks 4 all ur guys help

I did not want to go through with the notch and the additional work to lower the front. Have been happy with her at 3/4. Just not my choice to go lower - LOL.

10-fo hazmat

watch your pinion angle

I've been doin some research on the subject and it seems that the shackle flip will affect your pinion angle more then any other lowering method for the back. Have you considered blocks?

Here's mine with flip kit, and shackle hanger flip.
I have an 8.8, so the flip kit dropped it 5.5". Plus another 2.5 or so from the shackle flip.

Definately need a notch for this.

TEDDYZEE---how did you get 8'' in the front?? your trucks looks awsome gr8 job. i realy like the paint...what kind of notch do u have? how big are ur rims?

8.8 is the designtion for the rearend ring gear.
My drop is 5" front, 8" rear.
