Has anyone thought of doing something like.... THIS?
SUBSET.jpg

Disregard the fact that its a Sony Xplod, and that its a 12".... but I was thinking on going to the JY and scooping up an old flip down seat set for my 1998 XLT and cut up some medium density fiber board, attach it to the brackets, port the front with some 2" pvc on the bottom right (not shown in my photoshop) and try it out? :icon_welder: I was thinking 2 10" subs, (one for each side) I already have my audio set up, but am looking to get some room back. Anyone forsee any problems with a set up like this? I would plan on re-locating the tire jack/iron combo on the passenger side, but my amps would be bolted up to the rear of the cab under the cup holder, and run the cords and such behind the back panel into the seat compartment. I tried to search something like this, but came up un-successful.

It wouldn't necessarily need to flip down or anything, I just want to be able to unplug and un bolt them to bolt up normal seats if I have to. I just thought flip down sub sounded catchy :icon_cheers:

Flames? Comments? Pretty pictures? Let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading! :icon_thumby:

Yeah you're not the first to do that.

There's a guy on here who did it, awesome idea IMO, this is how I want to mount subs if I ever get around to it. He even built in a box on the back side to help with sound

Anyone got a link to this? or a picture? Building a box behind it sounds like a huuuuge amount of work, but a good idea none the less :icon_thumby:
