Flexfuel and Non-Flexfuel. IShould interchangeability

I have a 99 Ranger 4x4 with a blown 3.0 flex fuel "its the early one before the switch in mid 99" I found a 98 3.0 non flex fuel at a salvage yard. Will I be ok with it?

Vulcan is Vulcan, Flex, Non Flex etc, FWD's need to change head gaskets & your intake & exhaust manifolds, I picked up a Taurus motor way cheaper than a Ranger, <20K miles & under $300.
