Flatbed advice

Okay so I'm wanting to build a flatebed but I don't know how much metal I would need.and how do I calculate how nuch ill need.and also what the best way to build one.I want it to last a long time. suggestions would be great.thanks guys
 
Do a search on the site, Bro. A lot of people have built a flatbead and there are some really super nice welded jobs that you can see.

personally i don't like flat bed rangers. especially a nice first gen like yours. but like straycat said look around. many have done it

just depends how its done, a flatbed can make a truck look good or just make it look like some farm junker truck...

I'm going to be building it to last. and heavy duty. I use it alot to haul things and i need it to last.and farm work is the main reason why i need it.lol
 
alright well the next question...do you plan on using round or square tube? access to a bender?
 
That's. Alittle too extreme for me.lol and I also want to make the tool box level with the bed.does anbody know how to do that?
 
yeah that yota looks completely different now anyways. lol..
but yeah, build a bed that is functional for YOU. don't worry about what others say/think unless its just a little slight input or concern.
