Flat tow?

I was lookin at 2008 rangers and noticed a package for flat towing it behind an r.v does and one know what all it consist of and how hard it would be to do to a 1986? is their any modifications to the front end? or can i just bold int the rear end or did they change to much

I think all the towing kit is, is an electrical gizmo that allows the electric shift transfer case to go into neutral. So no, it wouldn't work on a 2wd.

oh well i know their is a company that does them on almost any vehicle. i'll have to see if i can find them and get a kit. hopefully one that lets me use my brakes with the tow vehicle
