I vote for this type but change the handel and weld on a 4 way lug wrench

If you would rather that it sits at an angle, more baja style...I took the spare tire carrier from underneath my Ranger and removed it from the underside...flipped it over on the top side and drilled a couple of holes...makes a perfect Baja tire mount clone in a pinch...It looks like the pictures directly above my post but has a better look to it and you still have room under it to get the most out of your bed space...I broke the lug bolt on my mount so I found a piece of ready-rod to fit good and just use a nut to hold it tight once it's slid down over the "hub" part of the mount...Good luck!

Why would you wANNA mount a flat? you should find a good spare and mount htat, LOL j.k
I might get some plastic to coat the area where the holddown makes contact with the wheel so it doesn't damage my aluminum wheel when I get it on there.
Make a really big washer out of some flat steel and put that in between the Y section and the wheel.
