I have searched and read most everything I could find under "VSS". Flashing OD and speedometer not working, and have not found where anyone has actually fixed this problem. I have a 96 ranger XLT, 2wd 4.0 automatic ( 4r55e per the info on this forum) which had been running just fine, until the speedo started bouncing around at highway speeds between 70 and 0 on a 15 mile trip. On the way back it just stayed at 0. And the OD light was blinking. I have installed a new VSS , but like the others, it didn't fix the problem I hooked up my obdll reader and PCM is not receiving a signal from the VSS how do I trace the signal from the VSS to the PCM? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!!

Signal is relayed through the ABS module. If it goes, or if the splice goes bad, signal goes bye-bye.
