My credo
I need more sleep.
Today I ended up getting rear ended, and I have a nice big dent in my rear bumper. Do you guys think just smacking it out with a hammer would work?
Here's what it looks like.

Are you talking about that tiny scratch? I've had bigger scratches on my eyeballs. I see no dent.

It pushed the whole bumper in, it sits flush with the plastic.

If it took 4,000lbs traveling at 10mph to install the dent, I doubt your 4oz body hammer will fix that.

Well, looks like its time fora tube bumper.

Seems you should be able to hammer that out... Just be patient (and have some ear protection on too, lots & lots & lots of small-to-medium hits works better than a few big smacks).

Certainly worth a try anyway... If it doesn't turn out well, then go get a tube bumper.

If someone rear ended your their insurance should be buying you a new bumper.
