just wandering, ive got a 1996 ranger xlt 4x4. how much of a lift would i have to put on to fit 33''s on there. also another question, ive heard if you crank the torsion bars up to level the truck out you will go through front end parts pretty quick. what do you all think about the torsion bar cranking? i have to keep this truck in good condition as it has to last me 5 years lol. anyway lemme kno if yall got any suggestions.

At least a 4" lift.
Your 1996 does not have torsion bars, it has coil springs. The only 4x4 Rangers with torsion bars are 1998-up.
Upside is that your front axle is stronger and lift kits are much cheaper.
It is generally agreed that Skyjacker is the best.
There is much info already here on lift kits and leveling.

this trucks got the traction lock 8.8 rear end. this is the same as a posi trac aint it. is there any difference between a posi and a limited slip or is it just the name?
