Will this unit work in my truck? (link below) i want to buy a carrier and lock it and then drop it into my ranger another day so i've got minimal down time ('99 supercab XLT 4.0 w/ ABS) input appreciated

Honestly, Idk if it's compatable but at that price id do it. If it ends up not being the right one, at least you tried and you can easily get your money back.

i understand that its a dana 35 in my ranger, and that this is a dana 35 carrier, so yes in theory it should work, but i have ABS and if this is an non-ABS unit, can i still use it without issues? or how can i tell if its an ABS carrier or not?

If you would crawl under your truck and look for your ABS Sensors you will find that they are at the wheels not the carrier.

So then why are there lockers sold for ABS and non-ABS carriers in the d35's? if i buy the carrier that was in my first post, how can i tell if its ABS or not? and if its not, and i lock it, and drop it in my truck (has ABS), will it still work without any interference?

I just don't want to blow $40 on something i can't use. college student, on a dishwashers salary.

Because rear diffs in jeeps are D35's and they use an ABS tone ring on the carrier to pickup the abs signal.

Alright, so i can use a non-ABS carrier in my ranger then it sounds, and shouldn't make a difference. so i'll just buy a non-ABS powertrax when i go to install it?
