Went up runnin around the backroads an shootin at rocks till I got bored. Then I found a lil mud an then started running the snowy roads.

I had to try it. It was all virgin snow an the majority of it was half froze the rest was that wet heavy crap. Couldnt get to wild with the throttle as its a narrow road an the ditch on each side is deep an I was by myself.

Heres where it stopped. Theres a 3" lift an 32" tires somewhere underneath.

After digging it out an cussing the damn nerf bars for 45mins they are coming off soon. Stupid bars wont letcha get a shovel up close to the truck. Therefore ya gotta dig the side of the road out just so you have room to get a shovel underneath.:pissedoff:

Oh yea I forgot. I wonder if I woulda made it further in if I hadnt of had around 1300lbs of tools in the back?

actually if it was mostly frozen the load in the bed would of helped but that does not look frozen so probably. nice truck too.

Nice truck. The heavy wet snow is a pain to get through. Frozen stuff makes it even more fun. I snapped an axle ear on my old 73' Bronco in stuff like that. When the 2 foot snow was fresh i plowed through it with barely a wheel spin.... the next day was different. Limped it back home help from another Bronco.

Thanks for posting the pics. I love getting out in fresh snow with a capable 4x4.

Nice truck, an pretty good snow pack for April,
You're screwed once you start plowing, like your last pic.
We've usually got roads like that out here 'till
May but it was in the 80's all last week.
Snow's gone, good riddance!!

damn, i need to move up north more, i didnt get DICK for snow this year, i love snow wheelin.....for the most part

Yup this wet stuff pretty much shuts ya down when your axles start cutting it. Best thing is a light wieght rig that can get up on top of the stuff.

The best part about the trip was watchin a couple of trucks try an make it up a gravel road with about 2" of snow on it. They had the point an shoot method an were tryin full throttle. Didnt take long for 'em to fishtail an end up in the ditch. I idled on around them an went home when they were takin a break. Got some wierd looks though as I wasnt slippin tires or anything.

goin out tomorrow hopefully will find some mud an not much snow. Im tired of it.

No snow to speak of here that last couple of years either. We used to get at least a couple of 6-8 inch snows a winter and a couple of 1-3's. None that even completely covers the yard anymore though... bummer.

I got into the snow again today while huntin. First stuff was about 20" deep an was frozen enough I wasnt leaving tracks. I didnt press my luck due to the cliff on the side of the road.

On another road I got into some of the greasy stuff. around 3' of it. My fuel gauge decided it was time to go home though.

Im ready for the snow to be gone an the roads to be open again
