Just acquired my first Ranger . Not new to the platform, as I am now on my 4th Explorer.

1994 Standard cab short bed, 3.0L automatic. 122k mi , acquired from original owner .

Congratulations and welcome to the site.

Welcome to TRS :)

1994, last year for the EEC-IV 60-wire computer, OBD1
Last year the 3.0l Vulcan engine had a distributor, with remote mounted TFI spark system
Last year for the A4LD automatic trans, has 2 computer controlled solenoids, TCC and 3-4 shift

Thanks .

And that's a good thing, in that in my state OBD1 and earlier are now exempted from emmisions testing .

Alas , I am too computer illiterate (Luddite) to post photos . If a helpful person here were to PM a cell phone number, I could send a pic by SMS for further reposting .

The trick is getting the file size down below a threshold that I don't remember (1mb?). I usually resize my image to 960 pixels on the long side and save to about 70%resolution. On my phone, I use an app called images easy resizer. Then use the "attach file" button below the message box.

People rarely believe me when I say I am computer illiterate . I'm sure everything above makes sense to most people , but it's just Chinese Algebra to me .

I had a brief window of being able to send pics . But that was when digital pictures were " VGA Quality " , and computers used Win 3.1 . The first time I was confronted with a 1gig camera card , and a 1gig hard drive , I stopped dealing with pictures on computers .

I just talked to the daughter, and told her to sign up here, and post the pic of the Ranger .

It's only fair, since she already claimed to drive it half the time . :)

I usually take a screenshot of my original photo on my phone and i upload it that way. Usually works (y)

I hate to start down the Rabbit Hole, but ....

I have a general concept of a screenshot , but no idea how I would do such a thing ( other than with Print Preview , and a printer on a real computer .

A screenshot is just a snapshot of whatever appears on your phone screen and it is saved as an image by itself. I don't know what phone you have, but you can look up the simple instructions on the internet on how to take one. I have a Samsung phone, so I press the "Down Volume" button and the "Power" button at the same time. Screenshots are the saved in your phone's photo gallery.

I already have actual pictures of the truck in photo gallery, hence how I can send them by SMS . Sound clips of steel guitar too for that matter . But I can't send by internet .
