First photos of Maverick

Ram seems to have no problem with their IRS on their 1500s. Same for the buyers.

There not IRS. Just coil sprung. Atleast last i knew. Not a new idea....GM did it in the 60s.

EDIT

Still solid axle.

Humvees are IRS...

Low profile tires are stupid. I don’t really like anything about them.

I rarely break 60mph in my ranger but it is amazing the difference a rear sway bar made even running around empty, I bet I will really feel it with the camper in. It was kinda sketchy without the rear sway bar. Probably why it was included in the “camper package” lol.

My mistake. Coils, not IRS.

I hate low profile tires too, but at least you can option out of them.

You stole my rat ferret thing!

And it's a Meerkat...

I honestly dont see the issue. I run mine 70-75 (on freeway) all the time and never felt bad to me.

Matter of fact the only vehicle ive ever had feel "goofy" for lack of a better term was my escorts. They felt very skatey.

If it keeps me and my passengers safe then thats good enough for me. Perhaps the drunk, texter, or whoever shoulda not been driving or paying attention instead of hitting me...cruel thought process maybe but its life.
If you were to get off the pavement and hit something rigid, or hit something bigger, you'd be much worse off in something old without crush zone. It only helps you if you are the biggest.

We get it, technology stopped for you in 1977...

Put something in the back and you will feel a difference. Especially if it is a tall something.

My truck was fine without for the 19.75 years I had it before I put a camper in it. And the ‘93 sway bar that is in it (5/8”) is lighter than the factory ‘85 sway bar (3/4”)

Even going around curves empty at speed... it just feels more planted.

My mustang is unibody with front and rear sway bars. I should probably junk it...
