Well last night was the first time in 26 years my B2 has ever seen a dirt road. The previous owner was an older man that bought the truck new and had lived in Charleston, SC his whole life. If anyone doesn't know Charleston it is a medium size city. The most off road this truck has ever seen since now is a paved road that was under construction! I must say that B2 handled flawlessly even at stock height and 30" big horn tires! Here are some pics from our adventures! This was a 3am so the pics are dark!

This was my buddy's 2wd F-150 which he thought was 4wd and decided to sink it first!

Where I ended up bottoming out, but the B2 gave it hell the whole way!

This is where my buddy hooked his Dodge Ram 2500 to my front bumper. Any of you veteran B2 owners know what happens next!

For anyone that didn't know what would happen next, here you go! The only good thing was it gave us access to the frame ends behind the bumper!

This was a great night with some buddies and the misses! My buddies were so impressed with the B2 that they asked me to join their truck club "Carolina Style". It really shocked me how well the B2 held up. I went into last night planning on a broken CV axle or something worse, but left with a missing bumper! In my book that is a successful night! Hope yall enjoy and we are going back December 15 so I will have some day time photos next time! :icon_thumby:

I figured from what I've read on the Ranger/B2 setups that unless you do some major work, you are asking for trouble running these through any heavy offroad trails. Makes me think maybe for no more than what I do for camping and hunting my stock 84 B2 will survive very easily.

Yeah running stock equipment I have heard you are bound for a headache but from some guys here I have talked to the only real weak point the B2 and Rangers have is the d28 axles. Hopefully in the spring time I will have the d35 to put under the B2 and there shouldnt be any more serious issues. Heck I was so pissed when he snatched my front bumper off :shok: but then it took me a second to realize that is why I bought this thing to off road in it and you can't have a truck you are scared to tear up and enjoy offroading! So bring on the breaking parts half of the fun owning an old truck is getting to work on it! :icon_welder:
