Hey Peeps,

Just bought my first ford truck, a 92 Ford Ranger XLT, need some minor work. Replaced Rear Axel seals, rear brake shoes and drums.

Took it to the shop today for the Provincial Safety, failed the safety, needs front shocks, and the Daytime Run lights aren't working.

The front shocks won't be a problem, but the daytime run lights are a totally different story, couldn't find a fuse for the DRL. I guess I could check the switch on the the e-brake. Anyone got anything else in mind what i can check out.

Thanks

By Driving lights do you mean the amber lights that come on when you pull the headlight switch out half way. If so It should be a 15 amp fuse it also runs with license plate lights. Let me know if that helps. can you take a picture of your fuse box. I talking about the one under you dash above the e-break.

you don't have "daytime run lights"....

but welcome! you'll love it here. lets see some pics of the rig. what's your plans for it?

In Canada ranger_mclaren we require DRL, the high beam headlights run at a lower capacity. The Rest of the lights are ok.

You know it didn't dawn on me till now, day time running lights. Rangers don't have those. I was thankin driving lights or parking lights.

hey 4.0B2,

Have no real Plans for it, just for going back and forth to work.

Yea I know what they are it just didn't dawn on me till now. I call parking lights driving lights. I don't think rangers come with those atleast here they don't thats always been a GM thing. I can't help ya out. If they do have them in canada.:icon_confused: Welcome to the forums none the less. I mean I would imagin they would have a stand alone fuse if not with the headlights. Let me do some research.

hey ranger_mclaren,

every vehicle since 1989 had to have DRL in canada

For all the peeps in Canada, Ford doesn't make the DRL Module anymore, And i can't find an after market one. Gonna wire the Low Beam light to come on with ignition.....
