Alright so today I got my first fix it ticket coming from school. I was driving down the road and the cop pulls me over and says that my windows are too dark (BS because I can see through them even with both rolled up) and his meter was way off unless the napa puts 14% VLT in 35% VLT boxes. So I have to take it off of my front windows. The fine is like 200$ but atleast I can correct it. T sort of makes me mad because I have had this on for like the past 3 years and they haven't cared and:pissedoff::pissedoff::pissedoff::pissedoff:that he would pull me over when three other people that he passed to get to me had WAY darker tint because you couldn't tell the difference between the paint and the tint.

The tint actually helps me see too because otherwise I have to put shades on and still shield my eyes.

Blah I gotta go take it off now or tomarrow , or when ever I stop being lazy... probably right before I have to get it checked again.:icon_twisted:

I'm respectful of police but some can be dicks when they have nothing better to do. I've still never been bothered for lack of a front license plate (nearly a year now) or a burned out parking light (signal still works though so I haven't bothered to fix it). Although my friend got pulled over for having his plate in the windshield of his sploder because the front bumper doesn't have correct holes for a plate.

Yeah I was nice to him because he really was just doing his job, and I know enough people that work at the police station ( and no not from doing illegal stuff, its just a small town.) And actually i think most of the other people just pay and leave on the tint because they are jerks or have too much money to care, I know one girl in my school who has the 2.5% VLT tint on every window but the windshield and she has just paid off every time which is like 12 if I'm counting correctly.:haha:

maybe you should try to get it checked again, just to see whats up. especially if you dont think its illegal.

Some cops are pricks. I got a ticket when in my 89' for not having daytime running lights. For those of you who don't know. In Canada, it became law for every vehicle made on or after December 1, 1989 to be equipped with daytime running lights. My 89 was made in March, making it exempt from the rule, I took my truck to the police station in my area, and brought a government inspection form (from work), that had the date posted on it, they dropped the ticket.

Sorry you got popped like that. Some times they just see you and decide that your the one they are gonna get. By any chance did any of the other cars going by happen to be modified or have loud exhausts. After all you drive an old pick up truck and sometimes they find the big boys easier than the little ones.

Well apparently the rules are now that you cant have below 70% on the front Windows, but in the back you can have 37%.

Yeah the people either actually drive normal and pull over and the rich Kids with sports cars like WRX's and supercharged chevys gun it and run because only the cars have modded engines ( there are only two here) and the SUVs are stock ( every other cop car).
