wooow, today i done something like that with my truck only used a board to hold together 2 straps, and the board must've been slippery and came out but luckly it flew off to the side into the woods..

I feel bad for that guy and his family.


Thats the same kind of clevis that I have...

maybe I should get a different tow strap to move my failure point:
7/8" clevis' - 13,000Lb
3"x30' tow strap - 27,000Lb

or get some stronger clevis'

Wow....

But thats why anytime Im at a mudhole or somthing and someone is getting snached out I always stand behind a truck and we always use the straps with the loops on the ends and not hooks.
