Where can I find aftermarket wheels for my 89 Stranger? Every site I have been to says that they do not have any for my truck. I would like to keep the 14's but will go to a 16 if I have to.

Literally any website on the net. lol

Look for 5x114.3 or 5x4.5" bolt pattern wheels.

Ebay is a good place to start.

He means 5x 114.3mm, not 144.3. That's 5 x 4.5" to us old guys. Backspacing on a stock 7" wheel is 4 1/2".

I have been looking for some this morning. But as usual its the 5 spoke or multi-hole wheels that I find that "fit" my truck. Even though they look good, they are just are not my style. But CAR-ID has a lot of wheels to choose from that "DON'T" fit my truck. The center bore is 81mm on the wheels I want, but the lugs are right. Thanks for your help.

The larger center hole won't matter, the wheels center on the lug nuts. I much prefer tapered lug nuts to mag style nuts with flat washers. If you're interested in used wheels try carpart.com or go to the Carlisle Ford Nationals May 31st- June 2nd. Bring some walking shoes, the fairgrounds are over 100 acres and the swap meet covers about half.

As Walt said... center bore won't matter as long as it goes over your hub. They manufacture wheels that way so it will fit a wider range of vehicles. The bore of my new wheels are 83.06mm... but the bolt pattern is correct. They refer to it as "lug centric" opposed to "hub centric". The big thing with lug centric wheels is to take the time and run the lug nuts down by hand and ensure all the lug nuts are seated in the wheel properly. Then torque them up. DO NOT just zip them down with your impact... chances are... you will have problems.

I've been eyeballing the Pacer Smoothies for my 88 2wd supercab project, and going to replace my Pacer Daytonas on the 4wd in the avatar soon. I was surprised to find that I could so easily grab exact replacements. I assume the Pacer Black Daytonas were a common thing over the years on Rangers because I see them all the time when window shopping.
