I can't seem to find the EGR on my 2.3L motor. I have a 1989 Ranger, XLT, with the A4LD automatic. It has A/C, but its never worked ( I hear no new noise, or get cold air when activating it), Powersteering...
I found a drawing in some automotive repair manuals online at my local public library, and it shows the EGR right on the side of the intake right beside the IAC, and TPS. But I don't seem to have one.
Likewise, the vacuum diagram on the header panel doesn't list an EGR. I believe that this motor isn't original, but I don't think its a California emissions. Well ,honestly, I'd think a Calif. would definitely have an EGR...
So are there some motors that don't have it, despite my seeing everywhere people having to check it, etc.?
