Finally..

TFI is on your distributor, the ignition module is on your fender, it should say motorcraft and have 2 sets of wires coming out.

EDIT: only carbed trucks had the motocraft ignition module..

update..sorta. took tfi module off went had it checked. Guy ran it through process 7 times and it checked out ok. Back home, while i had the hood up i noticed the MAP plug was loose.....how i dont know..security tab still on but wasnt "snapped" on like it was supposed to. I saw the little rubber elbows where cracked so i replaced those when i went to the store. Installed it, ran around town, nothing happening, truck ran like a top. No shutting off..nothing!
So i dont know if those two items where the culprits or not. Time will tell. Cheers!!

The MAP sensor would not cause it to die from my experience...erotic, er, erratic idle and stumble but not usually complete conk out...that would more likely be a ground issue on a wire or like mine the main power feed wire was holding on by one single copper strand...but the truck ran fine most of the time...

anyway...good to hear you are running better than before...hope it stays healthy for you...:icon_thumby:
