Finally starting my lift!

The only thing that's really affected by using spacers is that when you load up the truck it will be crooked. It won't level itself out like a properly "stinkbug" stanced truck would, so be careful when you load it up. Otherwise your lights will point to the sky and your mirrors to the ground. Good luck with the install and keep us updated with pics and details.

Well guess what just showed up at my door :thefinger:

I'll upload some pics of the spacers before I put them in later today.

Well the are spacers In and I LOVE it! It took like 3-4 hours for the first one and after that it took only like 1 1\2 for the other side. They went on the top of the coil instead of bottom. Ended up giving 2-2.25" of lift. Ride is a bit stiff, but I believe it's cause I need some longer shocks. I can't wait til I put some 31's on it :icon_bounceblue:

I'll upload some before and after pics tomorrow.

Next project is to swap out shocks for some 4x4 ones and get some 31's. Anyone had expirience with Nitto Dune Grapplers?

the results look awesome and i agree, some 31s will look killer on it. i dont have any experiece with nitto tires, but it seems like every set i have seen have been very worn out so either the guys didnt have money for new ones or they wore out super fast?

I've seen the same, but i can get a good price on them, and if they last for the next couple of years, I'll be happy.

I just put some Gabriel shocks for a 4x4 and it rides almost stock, just a bit stiffer and it doesn't bounce at all. Also with the new shocks it sits a bit higher, I'm definitely am going to do some Belltech 6400's in the back to level it again.

Here are some better pics :icon_cheers:

you can put stock 4x4 ranger blocks in the rear to level it too, either way it looks good.

Okay, it seems like the upper control arm is almost touching the frame by the upper balljoint. Could not seating the coil springs properly cause this? Because I wasn't able to to get the end of the coil in the pocket. I really hope i can get this sorted out tomorrow :annoyed:

You may need to go back in there and compress the spring enough to twist the insulator into the correct position, or just hope that by driving it around that things work into place?

I ended up just taking the spacers out, realizing I already have leveling coils and that it would be too much of hastle to mess with. So im out $80 for the shocks and spacers and ended up putting some new stock shocks back on it. Now I just gotta get rid of the spacers and shocks to recoupe at least some of the munnies lol

i would have kept the new shocks anyways. with stock shocks and leveling coils i'm pretty much maxing out my shocks. i get all of 1/2" of down travel with my shocks
