here, i painted the grille, and did the ol' gutter guard trick. added 2" leveling kit and painted those hidious wheels, but retained the "poverty caps". and replaced the 215/75r15s with 235/75r15's.

heres a shot with the wheels off my old truck that i painted, and i got some used bf goodrich a/t's. i also added the mile marker manual hubs.

finally got the 33's. they actually fit with no rubbing with only the 2" leveling kit. if i were to take it seriously off-road it probably would rub at full flex, but luckly, i only drove it to the hardware store. i also painted the bumper recently, and replace the original bumper(all bent up!)

here is during the 3" body lift, i would have loved to get a suspension lift, but i lack the funds (-$$$). NEVER DO A BODY LIFT BY YOURSELF!!!!. it sucked without any help!!! i managed, but a lot of throwing of tools!:shout: notice the cab lifted, but not the bed.... the bed was super easy to do. actually, my good friend PB Blaster helped me a lot!!!! couldnt have done it without!

here, its in it current state. i still got a lot i want to do to it. for one, is paint the fenderflares, get some off-road lighting, and change gears. actually its not that bad with stock 3.73's, a lot better than i expected! but i bought a set of 4.10's from "pimtool" on here(therangerstation, duh!) and hopefully they will go in sometime in the next month or two.

for some reason the tires look bald in the pic, but they are brand new, and semi-aggressive.

i would like to thank everyone at trs for all their help on my stupid questions! everyone was very helpful, and i couldnt have done it with out your help!!! thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bye:

looks pretty good. i dont think i could have pulled off a body lift by my self

Looks good.
I have noticed by your posting you have been a busy dude. Before you know it, the truck wont look anything like when you first got it.

did my body lift by myself. not any fun at all.

Looks good. Personally I like the A/T tires, but looks great nonetheless

i was just thinking the same thing a little while ago when i found some wheelin' pics of my truck in stock form.
with the leveling kit and the 33's your frame rails aren't too low too the ground.good budget build:beer:

yeah, me too. but they are on national backorder! these dunlops arent bad though! no road noise, go through mud pretty good(light mud).

thanks for all the comments everyone! the coolest part about having 33's is last night i went to our local bar(i dont even drink) to meet some of my family and friends.... there was a jeep club get togetther there, i had the biggest tires there! they hung their heads in shame.;missingteeth;

okay, out doing the jeep guys comes in second with 33's, running stuff over is #1

I feel my do it yourself body lift was almost to easy because it only took me two hours, (none of the bolts were rusted just muddy).:icon_twisted:

That is a pretty nice truck you got there, I see where you saw great potential in it.:headbang:

I did it myself and the worst thing of it was the damn steering extension.

Also did my body lift and suspension lift by myself, the SL wasn't bad, but the body lift was a hassle, sort of lucky on my part however, i used a 5 ton chain hoist in my buddy's garage. Still wasn't that fun heh

i like how you painted the front bumper looks really good!

I thought you modified the stock bumper somehow till you said you painted it like that!

good lookin truck:icon_thumby:

need some 12.5 wide tires and some offsetted wheels or your gonna roll :).. looks good great start.. now save up for a 6inch skyjacker and some 37's :)
