Well I'm back again, this time FINALLY with an RBV again after many many years. :yahoo:

Ended up with an 89 BII, it's a 2wd A4LD truck. The least desirable combo ever, but hey, the price was right, helped a friend in the process, and it's an Eddie Bauer so there's a plus!

I've just done some maintenance and fiddling with it so far, it runs great but the original two tone dark tan over tan paint has been sprayed over with a very poor black paint job.

Got all the electrical accessories in working order, minus the front door lock actuators, interior is near flawless except for some usual wear and tear.

It needs a good bit of TLC but it's a nice solid platform to build from I think.

I will be going back with the OE paint scheme at some point, not sure where I'm gong to take it as far as any major mods yet.

I'll try to get some pics up and start a thread for it soon, although it's a bit embarrassing to look at at the moment. First thing I'm doing is grille/bezels/headlights/corner lights as the front end is pretty thrashed.

Well I look forward to being around more. Later guys! :icon_cheers:

might be a dumb idea but open the doors all the way and try the locks. I had an 89 the doors had to be all the way open for them and the windows to work

Hey, the A4LD 2wd isn't as bad for you as it is for me. You only need 4x4 like once every ten years down there in GA.

They're receiving signal, just dead actuators. Doesn't really bother me that much so I haven't bought them yet, being cheap til I get more important things sorted out

Don't get me started on the 'Snowpocalypse' that we had recently, sent the whole state into panic mode over a couple inches lol. Businesses, government offices, schools all closed, cars (and numerous 4wd trucks!) spun off the roads, it's just snow people! Georgians just aren't that accustomed to it. Doesn't phase me a bit and I've lived here my whole life. Drove to work and carried a bunch of my friends around in it in a Honda with bald tires without a glitch, passing countless vehicles stranded haha just pay attention and be careful!

I would like it to be 4wd for some wheeling every now and then, but really I didn't even need to lock the hubs in my Ranger all that often out playing around. I do wish it was 5spd, I'm not a big fan of automatics, I get bored easy.
