Probably talking about the duraspark swap. Check the tech library.

eliminate the TFI or thick film ignition that is controlled by the computer to the duraspark that controls the advance with engine vacuum. You cant do it if you have to pass emissions.

you can't do it on a 2.9, the 2.9 needs the TFI setup to run
