fi to carb

yeah something like that. i honestly didnt know if it would ever see the road again tho last year when i destroyed the tranny. i dont regret it tho bc gas is expensive and im lazy.

i had a ranger that had a decent size hole in it. it was eaten my mice. i used that gas tank repair putty and never had a problem. just one option for you . totally up to you though.

I scored a 12 gallon fuel cell with sending unit for a boat on ebay for $35 shipped.Works great.
Strapped it down in the bed between the 2 batteries.

im not sure what im going to run... but im open to all suggestions though

ha ha red green. i love that shit. i watched him make a sawmill out of an 86 bronco or something like that once. funny show. im thinking about putting a tank where the spare tire carrier is maybe?

That's been done here and over on the RPS site too. Some used the rear tank from a dual tank long bed Ranger, some used a Bronco II tank.

well at least i dont feel completely retarded for thinking about doing that. ill have to look around and see if i cant find one of those tanks around here.

but i do feel completely retarded for leaving my truck on jackstands over night the other day and returning to the shop only to find that it fell off and buried the ass end of the truck in sand with no rear end under it.

anyone have a part number for the lokar cable? what kind of kick down cable do i need?

Not too sure if you could use a kick down off of something that came factory w/ a carb & AOD, but that would be ideal..

I used:
Kick down: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LOK-KD2AODHT/
Carb Bracket: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LOK-SRK-4000/

Should be links to throttle cables on the suggested parts list for the SRK-4000 bracket, just need to choose the right length.

Pic of my set up is under JoeyB's "Throttle Cable" thread with the kick down cable installed.

Will need some transmission pressure gauges to set the line pressure. Found a diagram a long time ago of which port on images.google.com, kind of hard to find. Had the wrong one the first time just guessing LOL. Or have a trans shop do it...

i was planning on going to fort wayne clutch? im pretty sure thats what it is. to get my driveshaft made so maybe i could check with them first about the kickdown. what came stock with a carb and aod?

Might stop at Russ Moore or Summit Transmission and ask them since they're so close, but couldn't hurt to ask Fort Wayne Clutch either.
