fi to carb

You mean the piece that holds the cable in? I hd to take a bracket off a random carbed 302, the holes didn't fit anywhere on my intake and I had to get it up higher to be level with my throttle anyways. I hacked it up and welded it to the end of a 3" piece of angle iron and made a flat plate at the bottom told bolt it to the intake.

I can't find the stock piece that is made for this purpose anywhere. There's a few different after market setups, I like the billet ones made by csr, they're like 45 bucks or something at summit though

The throttle cable bracket that fits, is from late 60's to early 70's Ford & Mercs. Or you can use Summit's G1419 bracket. The cable that a lot have used is the one for the 82-85 Mustang GT. I bought mine thru the local Ford dealer's parts dept.

and what about fuel lines and pumps?

so heres a before and after pic. weiand intake and holley 650 with the new valve covers

You're going to need another distributor. That one's a TFI unit, only advances the spark with a computer's input. It will fire, it just won't advance and retard the spark.

And that's a 600 cfm Holley and you've got it mounted backwards

ah i see. i dont know much about carbs period. before this ive always been more into nissans and subarus. imports in general really. ill have to switch it back around lol. thanks for the tip. i also have the right distributor i just didnt have it handy and wanted a pic of it. thnks for the tip man.

yes. its ok, everyone can laugh at me. but im just learning all this for my self. until a month ago i had never even touched a carb.

Check my build out on www.cardomain.com/id/1mean02hd . Site is still in progress but you'll get the drift. I used a Lokar cable and drilled a hole in the top of the gas pedal for it to work and used a billet cable mount.

:D If you had had a Holley 2x4 intake:icon_thumby:, it would have been mounted correctly. :icon_cheers:
