i have a 1998 ford ranger xlt 4x4 5 speed and recently it started misfiring at idle. it threw a p0306 code i think which was cylinder 6 misfire. i replaced plugs and wires then it came back so i replaced fuel filter and injectors. that worked but it started running rough at idle again. so i replaced the iac after reading some threads. it starts perfect now in cold weather and idles fine but i was driving up a hill today in third and it started sputtering but kept running. any ideas> oh i was in 4x4 high because of the bad snow here in missouri.
thanks, merry christmas

ever check the DPFE sensor? mine stuttered a bit when mine went out (once every year ive owned it so far) when driving around town up grades. if that goes out, the code it throws is for "emmissions gas recirculation flow insufficient" or "emmissions gas flow recirculation excessive" or both like mine did.

oh. ok they guy that owned it before me replaced it too.
i will get another one
