Repairing some rust around the windshield on my '87 extended cab, would like to remove both front fenders to make sure and get down in the cab corner real well and make sure there isn't any damage I am not seeing. Can anyone tell me how difficult this will be, will the hood need to come off? I am assuming grill and front bumper will need to be pulled. Thanks for any input...

The hood sdoesnt have to come off, the bumper ,yes , the grill , and the corner lights . there are hidden bolts top rear corner , lower bottom corner by the door , also on the front behind the lights and bumper . take your time as the bolts will be rusted in , they will break so be prepared to drill and tap to replace the bolts

You do not need to take the bumper off. and i doubt that the bolts will break. my truck has been in salt heaven its whole life and ever bolt cam out pretty easy. and if they do break you will not have to drill them out becasue they are retaing clips that they bolt to and all you would have to do is go get new ones at lowes or a bone yard.

Anyone know if there are weep holes in the bottom corners? I noticed 3 others along the bottom channel under windshield trim, but corners rusted so bad, can't tell in there were holes there.
