Fender Question

I have a 2000 XLT 4x4, 4.0 and I want to take off the plastic fender flares. I know I will have to fill the holes and repaint probably but I want to know what the fender underneath will look like. Have any of you done it? If so please post a pic. I'm not good with tools so I don't trust myself taking it off. If you have taken yours off or took yours off to clean or something and have a pic, please show. Thanks guys!
