It's like this on the other side too. What the hell is going on here?! :dunno: This gap is distracting like hell. :annoyed: I apologize if this thread is in the wrong place.

Check and see if the lip that the fender mounts to isn't bent out, like where someone had jacked it up with a floor jack there....... Also check lower door hinges for wear......

That mount you are talking about is on at an angle. It doesn't look like it was bent by somebody. Do you think there might be something else going on here? Would I have to cut it off and weld on a new mount then?

could it be as simple as the lower fender mounting bolts are loose or missing or improperly adjusted? My trucks like that too but its because mine was in a wreck at some point so the whole front end is tweaked a little bit but I loosened the entire fender up and readjusted it and it helped alot

I could try the adjustment. I haven't tried that yet. But my truck does look like there was some damage to the vehicle as the bumper sits crooked on the truck.

Possibly bent the bottom of the fenders, since you say the bumper is a little bent.......

could be too many washers behind it gaping it out like that maybe? or is there none behind it

No washers. But I am looking for anyone who might have this problem with their truck and a possible solution. I hate how it looks with that gap.

Have you tried what I mentioned? It's most likely simple misalignment and while your checking for that it'll give you a great chance for a closeup inspection of the inner fender area and you'll either be able to fix it or find out why you can't:) Good luck man, like I said when I loosened mine up it didn't totally fix the gap but it got ALOT better

I did try that on the left side. I even pounded the bottom mount in a little. It does look a little better. I still have to do the other side yet though. But I really think I just might take it to a body shop to see what they can do because I really don't like that gap.

Honestly at a shop they are going to do the same thing you are doing. Use a block of wood and a big hammer and tap it in till it looks right. Also what you are actually adjusting is the flushness of your fender. Good luck :icon_thumby:

:icon_rofl: Don't beat on it with a block of wood and hammer. This is a last resort type of thing.

Check your bodymounts at the cab and core support.

If you say it's been in an accident, and the bumper is messed up, it could very well have drawn the front of the frame up or down, causing the fenders to splay like that.
