Fellow northerners...how much weight do you run in the bed during winter?

Some snow and a bunch of green apple logs from a tree that fell into my turn around. The weight seems to help . I'm in 4 high but the hubs aren't locked.:D
Sounds kinda like what I did. Plus a couple of pallets from work tossed in. Keeps stuff from shifting around. I'm 2WD with all-seasons.

Isn't that like 2 wd??

Yup, I have 2 different pairs of tires front and back and it doesnt like dry pavement in 4 hi with them locked. . Right now the vise grip I use instead of a shift motor is wired in 4Hi. I keep it that way when I am just putting around town. I crawl under and shift into 2 wheel. for going more than a few miles. My system is crude, but when I lock the manual hubs, I know the 4 wheel will work. :D

In my 2wd 4cyl 5spd ranger i run 235 75 mastercraft studded snows which work alright imo. For weight i just leave a coupke of junk car parts, a 60 lb tube of sand and w.e other crap i threw back there and havent cleaned out. I have a cap and rear swing tire carrier so traction is adequate.
