i start my truck, everything is good. Next, i turn on my cd player (which then turns on my amp. Once this happens, i hear nothing but low humm-like feedback from my sub! but here is the weird thing - when i turn on my lights or put my parking brake on, the humming dies out or goes away completely....

i have a sony cd player and a kenwood amp firing a 10" sub from walmart (scoche it think??)....never did this till a few days ago and i have had this system for almost 5 months now..

check you connections of - and + at the amp and at the battery and where ever you have the ground attached. I had the same problem a while back...... just clean the connections and make sure they are tight.

that would be great if the fix would be this easy haha..thanks for your help gatlin, i will try this on saturday :icon_cheers:

It's your ground wire, make sure it's at least as big as the power wire and make sure it is a clean connection. (no painted surfaces, rust, etc...)
