Febuary Meet, NJ, Wharton Forest?

Ok our meeting spot will be the usual. Wawa at 70 and 72. I figured we could cook out on top of jemima

I guess 1030am. What's this I heard that jemima is off limits?

Alright, lets get a poll going.
Since there will be a cook out, I was thinking we should meet at the atsion ranger station, we can all enjoy some lunch then go wheeling from there.

Where should we meet? Wawa on 70/72 or Atsion?

What?

What?:shok:

Why not just go straight to Jail, do not pass GO, do not collect $200.
Jemima has ALWAYS been off limits. Bad people keep tearing down the forest service signs.

on the other hand, stop at Batsto/Wharton or Brendon Byrne office and get a camping permit for the rustic area, about $5.00.
Cook out some place you won;t get arrested.

p.s. If the group picks Atsion to meet, I'll come along.

Ok then. I'll vote for Atsion then.

Really? I've always been under the impression it was ok to be there, obviously not wheeling though. I've never seen any signs saying otherwise, most places that are off limits are clearly marked, like hidden lakes for example it has signs around in every direction. I'm not arguing what you said, just kind of surprised actually. Everytime Wharton gets brought up I hear something different on what is ok and what isn't. It's something I'd really like to get to the bottom of, I prefer to keep it legal.

I've gone to quarter from highcrossing all winter never had a problem

personally im not meeting at a ranger station, ive never been one for littering, i dont drink in the woods, but ive had too many bad encounters with rangers.... owning trucks that are bigger then legal tends to be not alot of fun with them.

we could meet up at the woodshed, and go from there, id rather go in on that side anyways then the 206 side

I have meet up at the ranger station and I am always down to Batso and see the ranger 's and I have never had a problem with any of them and I do not have any lift paper 's and I should

Yeah, It's not like were throwing a full blown party. Well, Idc where we meet, as long as we get it set in stone where we are meeting.

Alright. Route 70/72 wawa is the meeting spot!
It's a neutral spot to meet, no pressure, no park rangers, it's damn near in the middle of wharton.

I'll bring my little portable grill and some hot dogs and buns so there wont be any trash, we can decide where to eat later.
